It is not often that we get to ride our bikes in the name of safety with some of the countries top NASCAR drivers during the DAYTONA 500. In the advent of the COVID-19 virus, we were able to pull off this event just in time! I have also included some other images that were taken the day of the ride. All photos were taken by Ralph Smith of St. Augustine Photography. Please enjoy.
The above photos are Scott Lagasse, the group shot of every rider on the Champions ride at the Cabbage Patch intersection where Deputy Sheriff Frank Scofield lost his life. The photo includes David Hawk of the US department of Transportation and Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood.
The above photos from left to right include NASCAR drivers and avid cyclists Aric Almirola and Justin Allgaier. The third photo is SRAM CEO and founder Stan Day.

Jimmie Johnson was in just about every photo, he was a great sport about everything and gave his full attention to the spirit of the event. Here is with Shon Swett of The Hub Cycles. In the middle, the riders are on the Daytona 500 speedway testing their skills on the banked road. The third photo is Scott Lagasse and Sheriff Mike Chitwood. Sheriff Chitwood is an avid cyclist and huge supporter of the Champions Safety Ride.

Some final shot of Jimmie Johnson before the Daytona 500. Finally, a last photo of Doc Edwards with Joey Logano (#22) in the background.
